Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
We focus exclusively on individuals, small businesses, nonprofits, and startups who need professional web services without enterprise-level pricing. We believe in transparency, honesty, and empowering our clients to manage their own sites. If a free or lower-cost solution works for you, we'll tell you—even if it means we don't get the project.
Yes! While we're based in Georgia and serve local clients, we work with businesses and organizations nationwide. We conduct virtual meetings and manage projects remotely with the same level of service and attention.
Timeline varies based on project complexity:
- Simple sites (1-5 pages): 2-4 weeks
- Standard business sites (5-10 pages): 4-8 weeks
- Complex sites (e-commerce, custom features): 8-12+ weeks
These timelines assume you have content ready. Delays often occur when waiting for content, images, or client feedback.
Content/Text: Yes, we need you to provide the written content for your website, or we can connect you with professional copywriters for an additional fee.
Images: You can provide your own images, or we can arrange for stock photography or professional photography services. The more materials you provide upfront, the faster and more cost-effective your project will be.

Important: If your website uses premium plugins or software that we license on your behalf, you will need to either:
- Pay an annual fee to cover the cost of these premium licenses, or
- Purchase your own licenses directly from the plugin/software providers
We'll provide you with a complete list of any premium plugins or software used in your project.

Pricing & Payments
Yes, we typically require a 50% deposit to begin work, with the remaining balance due upon completion. For larger projects, we may break payments into milestones.
We accept:
- Credit/debit cards
- ACH bank transfers
- Checks
- Digital payment platforms (upon request)
For larger projects, we can discuss payment plans or milestone-based billing. Contact us to discuss options for your specific situation.
Never. We provide detailed quotes that break down all costs. Any additional expenses (like stock photos, premium tools, or third-party services) are discussed and approved before purchase.
Website Ownership & Control
You do! You own all the content, design, and code we create for you. You'll have full access to all admin accounts, hosting credentials, and source files.
Note: If your site uses premium plugins or software that we license, these licenses remain with LongBark. If you leave our hosting, you'll need to either pay an annual fee for us to maintain these licenses on your behalf, or purchase your own licenses directly.
You're never locked in. If you decide to move your hosting elsewhere or work with a different developer, we'll provide all necessary files, credentials, and assistance to make the transition smooth. We want long-term relationships, but only because you're happy with our service—not because you're trapped.
Premium Plugins/Software: If your site uses premium plugins or software that we license, you'll need to either:
- Pay an annual fee to cover the cost of these licenses, or
- Purchase your own licenses from the providers
We'll provide you with a complete list of all premium components used in your project.
Yes! You have full administrative access. You can make changes yourself, hire another developer, or come back to us when you need help. It's your site.
